Does Medi-Cal or Medicare Cover Food Delivery Service For Elderly & Disabled?

I know many states have special programs which help cover the cost of groceries and meals to be delivered to elderly %26amp; disabled. Oregon's is through the state health care system. I'm wondering if California offers any type of program or if this as a covered health benefit?Does Medi-Cal or Medicare Cover Food Delivery Service For Elderly %26amp; Disabled?
California and the federal government have monthly USDA food giveaways and local area groups have senior brown bag food programs, and weekly food pantries in many locations, in addition to Meals on Wheels. There is a local area program for disabled low income seniors for meal delivery but they pay for it. What program do you think Oregon has to finance home delivery for seniors? Possibly Oregon got a federal grant to pay for a program but with the situation Oregon is always in, I doubt the state is paying for anything. Oregon was closed to new Medicaid applications for a long time except for pregnant women.

Believe me, Oregon Medicaid and California Medi-Cal do not pay for food programs. The counties have food stamps or SNAP for anyone who qualifies depending on income and family size. I am a low income senior and cannot get food stamps in California.Does Medi-Cal or Medicare Cover Food Delivery Service For Elderly %26amp; Disabled?
I certainly am not aware of any federal services that cover food delivery. I am almost sure that a program exists within the services for senior not with the federal government.Does Medi-Cal or Medicare Cover Food Delivery Service For Elderly %26amp; Disabled?
Meals on Wheels is what we have here. I would call Social Services and ask them who covers it in California.
