Are you supposed to still tip food delivery like PIZZA when they charge you a delivery fee?

The delivery fee goes into the manager's pocket. It typically means that the scooter or car belongs to the pizza place, but not always. Sometimes they do it because your delivery is outside of their main area and causes a backup with the other orders. But NEVER does that money ever go to the delivery person.

Please remember to tip your servers, be they waiters, waitresses, bartenders, food delivery people, and anyone else i may have missed in the food/beverage service industry. They make much less than minimum wage because they are expecting to receive tips. Are you supposed to still tip food delivery like PIZZA when they charge you a delivery fee?
I doAre you supposed to still tip food delivery like PIZZA when they charge you a delivery fee?
I always tip, even if there is a delivery fee.
Yes. The delivery fee is usually a small fixed rate not set to equal the amount for paying the delivery man for his time, and car wear and gas. Plus, you do know those people keep track of who tips them and who doesn't, right? Are you supposed to still tip food delivery like PIZZA when they charge you a delivery fee?
Yes, the delivery fees are nominal. I always tip the delivery driver.
Yes. I delivered pizza for a shirt time a while back. The pay is terrible, and the drivers never see any of that delivery fee.

The pay you get for mileage is tiny.

Also, remember that you could have gone for the food yourself, but asked this person to get into their personal car, make it hot, and then bring it to you.

Tip them! And when you order next, you can bet you'll get better and faster service. :-)Are you supposed to still tip food delivery like PIZZA when they charge you a delivery fee?
Yes - I tip them. Well, only if they're friendly.
Personal choice. If the pizza is still hot, I would certainly tip the delivery person. Cold pizza however gets sent back and no payment whatsoever!
then you give whatever tip is appropriate -- minus the charge --

or

just give the amount of the charge again as a tip. the charge is usually no more than 2 bucks anyway which is not unreasonable.

if money is so tight you cant afford a tip then you are in over your head getting the pizza anyway.

EAT IN
Yes, that is the proper thing to do.
You should always give a delivery person at least a 15% tip even if the service was bad or if they charge a delivery fee.
