Snack food delivery service?

Let's say you have an in town, $5 min., $1.50 delivery charge, snack food delivery service. Customers can order from your website or by phone. They just click on the items they want, check out and receive their order 20 minutes later. Also you could get huge profits from advertising space on the site from the companies who's snacks you provide. I think it's awesome and my anti capitalist girlfriend hates it. Do you think it would work?Snack food delivery service?
I knew a couple of guys that had a business like that a few years ago. It worked out pretty well for them selling soft drinks, candy, chips, etc. But they were in a dorm at a cal state university so it was easy for them to make deliveries on campus. You would have to spend a lot of money on gas to make deliveries and most people would rather just buy snacks a lot cheaper at the grocery store. On the other hand if selling ad space works out you might make some money.Snack food delivery service?
Because your dollar limit is so low you may end up losing out on high profit. But, if you don't keep a huge inventory, you may find in just a few week's time, if it will be a viable business for you. You will have employee's insurance, rental of space and utilities, billing and book keeping fees, and the actual expense of delivery. Get some good trustworthy people on board and be prepared to work your tail off when employees call in sick.
