I agree somewhat. If the price is between $15-$18, give him/her the Jackson and send them on their way. If you give em 20 and the total comes to like 19-19.50, then your kind of giving them the shaft. It's not as tight of a system as a sit-in tipping system where you tip a waiter/ress 10% for poor, 15% for decent %26amp; 20% for exceptional.
For those of you complaining about not having enough money to tip the delivery boys/girls their due, either do a pick up, or make your own food if you can't budget a couple extra dollars.
Slam dunk for the day:
"Why tip them if you can do it yourself?," you say? Well, why have them deliver if you can do it yourself? Last time I checked, it was considered good business to pay someone for their services. How much should you tip for food delivery? What if there is a delivery charge?
If it's under 20 $ but close to 20 $, then pay a 20 $ bill and give them the change. If over, probably 5 $ would do.How much should you tip for food delivery? What if there is a delivery charge?
3.00 at the most
i think it depends on your budget how much yuou cna give for a tip on deliverty. if you think about how far the driver had to travel to bring you the food for the gas $ that is helpfull for a 20$ pizza i usually give couple bucks becuz its not that far from the house. How much should you tip for food delivery? What if there is a delivery charge?
none because why should you tip for a job you can do yourself
please tip at least $5.00 or $10.00. those delivery people work for tips and get very little in the form of a paycheck. that delivery charge is not directly given to the driver. treat that person as you would want yourself or perhaps your child to be treated. thank you for caring for people less fortunate that you!!!!How much should you tip for food delivery? What if there is a delivery charge?
Fifteen percent is recommended in tips. You could do that, less, or more depending on your opinion.
Your tip should be similar to tipping the wait staff, who "deliver" your food to your table instead. A delivery charge is NOT A TIP!!! It goes to the company, with only part of it going to the driver to cover his/her vehicle costs. The rest goes to the company to cover insurance, etc costs of the driver's being "out" of the store on delivery. Some drivers get as little as 60-cents per delivery out of that delivery charge. That's no where near a tip! And drivers DO get paid at a "lower" wage, just like wait staff do, because it is "expected" that they will be tipped for their service.
I always tip 15% of the bill, plus a few extra cents to round off the dollar.
If there's a delivery charge, don't they just add it to your bill? I'm thinking that the delivery charge is for gas money, since prices are going up.
I alway tip a little extra, except if the service was terrible. I'll pull the manager aside and talk to them about it.
We just ordered pizza tonight. With the coupon the total was only $9.75. We gave a $2.00, plus the leftover quarter as a tip. 15 to 20 percent is standard.
I usually give between 3 to 5 dollars..however I've had some rude delivery people who demanded tips %26amp; of course they got none.. I realize that they work for their tips, but dang, is being rude %26amp; demanding part of the job too?
