How much food/wing delivery drivers make?

I am currently in college and thought about applying for a second job as a delivery driver for a wing restaurant, which is a "Wings Over.." franchise in a pretty decent sized college town, Greenville, NC. If anyone has experience working as a delivery driver in a similar environment.. How much could one expect to earn on average with tips?How much food/wing delivery drivers make?
I say go for it too. I haven't been a driver, but work for a restaurant that delivers and I've seen our drivers count their money at the end of a shift. It makes me want to give up cooking and be a driver! Another friend of mine with a high-paying tech job took on a pizza delivery job at night to pay off her high credit card bills. She did it within 6 months.



Now, the only downfall I can see is that you might be delivering to a bunch of drunken college students who don't know how to tip well for the convenience of delivery. But hey, give it a go! There are tons of other people in Greenville who order and DO know how to tip.
