Can I order delivery food by credit card without actually having the card?

This question is not as stupid as it sounds! Lol.



Here's the thing, I lost my wallet and am completely broke/stranded/hungry at my apartment.. so my boyfriend called me and told me to order delivery and use his credit card, giving me all the information. So my question is, can I just call in, order and give them the info.. or do I actually have to have the card on me when they arrive.

Maybe. Some places will ask to see the actual card when they make the delivery. Large chain restaurants like the pizza places are likely to not ask to see the card, especially if you order online.



Small Mom and Pop places are more likely to want to see the actual card and may even want to take an impression of the card.
