Do you legally have to pay for and accept a takeaway food delivery if the restaurant was hours late?

I'm just curious. What if they were 3 hours late and the people had to get food from a different place? 4 hours? 5?Do you legally have to pay for and accept a takeaway food delivery if the restaurant was hours late?
They would not be able to win a legal claim against you. In any transaction, there is implied suitability -- for example, someone can't sell you a swimsuit that falls apart in water, gift card for a restaurant chain that no longer exists, or food delivery that comes hours after it's expected to.Do you legally have to pay for and accept a takeaway food delivery if the restaurant was hours late?
If your contract was for food at say, noon and they delivered at 3pm, then no, they didn't fulfill their end of the contract. I would hope that you called them and asked where the food was when it was obvious they were late (they should have made an effort to communicate too).

If there are extenuating circumstances, such as a blizzard blew in, then you could negotiate a compromise.Do you legally have to pay for and accept a takeaway food delivery if the restaurant was hours late?
no, all they can do is argue at you. Call it in to there home office and like the corpate know you will get free food coupons or just never eat there again. I hate when this happends
