how much do you tip people who diliver Food(chinese/pizza etc)How much do you tip FOOD DELIVERY people?
USUALLY just a bit of change.

they get paid a decent amount USUALLY.How much do you tip FOOD DELIVERY people?
about a dollar (pound) or two.
usually less then a pound, u just round it up to the nearest pound, no moreHow much do you tip FOOD DELIVERY people?
I generally tip 10% even when I go to the drive-in or drive-in take out. These people generally only make minimum wage or less.
I dont tip themHow much do you tip FOOD DELIVERY people?
I'm an American in America and I tip them a couple of dollars or more depending on the size of the order, as does everyone else I know - shame on you for making us look bad!
I tip 5 to 8 because i would want the same amount
Jeez, people, tip them like you would a waitress! Generally 15%. These people need to make a living off of your tips, so don't be cheap. You could've wasted your own time, gas to pick up your food, so pay them at least enough to cover that.
You can tip what ever you want. These people makes nothing. They will be very happy and will remember you the next time.
normally 10%
i used to tip but now I do not due to my friend having a go every time I tipped. He said "Why the F**k are you tipping someone that is only doing a job? My mum is a cancer nurse and is never tipped for helping and saving lives!"

He had a good point, so I stopped. Also, I don't get tipped for my work.
Pizza delivery drivers make very little salary and really do rely on tips to get by, especially with gas prices these days. My husband used to deliver pizza and it was very discouraging if he had a night with little or no tips. He'd end up with $20 for 5-6 hours after replacing the gas he'd used in the car. I just think it's rude not to tip as these drivers are rushing your food to you as quickly as they can and it's a pretty convenient service for us isn't it? I always tip about $4-5. If I was ordering more, for say a party, I would tip more as well. When I order pizza, I budget in the tip, just as if I was going to a full service restaurant.
im sorry but i never tip them, is that wrong of me
I tip 3-4 dollars.
half dolar
solid 5 dollars.

because they brought you your food because you didnt want to get it.
I just let them keep the change.
my boyfriend does this and i thought it was really strange. but the rule of thumb for tipping is 10% but with a take away i think my boyfriend just kinda rounds it up so if its 拢13.40 he will say keep the change out of 拢15 or if we only have a 拢20 then he say just give me a 拢5 back for example. i dont think they expect a tip but my boyfriend says he does it to stop them faffing about with the change and making your food go cold.
For pizza's the rule is $2 -3 per pizza, for chinese or other take out food - orders up to $25 - $5 tip (20%) over that follow the same rule. In a restuarant where they serve you 20% and up depending on the service.
a pound
a few bucks
5$
Usually depends on how nice the food is and I tip cute boys more lol!!
3-4 for a pizza.... more for complex, multi container deliveries....

remember, these people buy their own fuel, own car, make low wages and save you a TON of work.......think about it......

Eat well.......
(I don't currently live in London)

However, it really depends on what I'm getting normally. It also depends on how quickly it arrives.

If they take an hour to get my food to me and it's cold or squashed...I don't even want to pay for the food, much less tip them.

If the order costs $12, I'd probably give them $15 total.

(part of it does have to do with the change thing. I don't want to wait while they count out coins and such).

If I had to have a job where I delivered food, I'd want people to give me decent tips.

Also, if it's raining or really cold weather, or during a high traffic time and they still got there quickly, I'll tip more because they saved me a lot of hassle.

  1. The number that keeps getting thrown out as a standard tipping percentage at restaurants is 15%. I usually stick to that, but go up to 20% if the waiter/waitress is likable and does a good job.
